The new Survivor!

Ok so here we have it. I'll contact the winner with the prize information over the weekend or by Monday.

Lemur Girls vote:
Final vote:
Well hello all and welcome back to Blogtiki for the final vote! Jimmie and
Lynn, there's no need to look so nervous... it'll be over soon *evil giggle*

So yes, on to the voting part. It was fairly easy for me to decide who to vote
for. Despite having previous conversations with fellow contestants about it I
have decided to vote for... Lynn to win. Here are my reasons:

1) Despite having her own domain, she wants to be part of MuNu. Having a
complete overhaul and redesign could be the new start she needs in her MuNu
life :)
2) I liked her a lot, her entries always made me giggle
3) she liked my writing too, and apparently i summed her up in my last entry!

I decided Jimmie should lose because:

1) Out of all the survivors I was the only one he voted for twice
2) He said i was too nice, but in a bad way
"Niceness. A lot of niceness. Too much niceness. I suspect that behind
her Hello Kitty happiness facade is a seething cauldron of treachery and rage.
You know how after a serial killer's gone off and cut up ten people and hidden
their body parts like Easter Eggs around the yard their neighbors always
say, "She was a really pleasant person - kind of nice, and she kept mostly to
herself."? Yeah. I don't want to be in the way of that volcano. "

3) he didn't want any foreign influences - i mean how shallow can you get?!
There's nothing wrong with having a brit on the island. Spread your ideas out
a lil!
4) he turned me into a wannabe porn star
5) He said i would've been too distracted in the last challenge. I managed the
first lot didn't i?!
6) he just got me well and truly pissed off.

So yes, Jimmie has to go. He pissed me off, he evicted a MuNuvian (2 in fact
if you count Victor) and now he must face the consequences.
As far as i'm concerned, Lynn deserves to win. She will be the first non-
american to do it - hows about that for foreign influences?!

She also deserves to be a part of MuNu - ya hear that Pixy?!

Victor:
"I plead with the jury tonight, to think a little bit about the island
that we have been on. This island is pretty much full of bull poopies and
only two other things: snakes and rats. And in the end of Mother Nature, we
have Jimmie the Snake, who knowingly went after prey; and Lynn, who turned
into the Rat, that ran around like the rats do on this island, trying to run
from the snake. And I feel we owe it to the island's spirit that we have
learned, have come to know, to let it be in the end the way Mother Nature
intended it to be: for the Snake to eat the Rat."
>
> Geez, that speech was stupid then, and it's stupid now. But wasn't it
hilarious the first time?
>
> Anyhoo, I still feel this is a writing contest. Jimmie's writing was
consistently the best; you don't win three immunities in a row writing crap
like I did (heck, you don't even win one immunity in a row writing crap like
I did). Lynn, your writing was fine, you were just a little bit less good
than Jimmie. And *significantly* better than I was.
>
> So, to make it official: I cast my vote for Jimmie.

Jeff:
I vote for Lynn to win.

Jeff

Dizzy Girl:
Ack. I overslept...my bad.

My vote:

First of all, congratulations to both of you for making it to the end. You're both fine bloggers and I wish you well after you leave the island. It was a pleasure getting to know the both of you.

Now, to the vote. The person I'm voting for is someone who, over the course of the past month, has entertained me with their writing abilities. Someone who always went balls-out with the Challenges. And someone who, and this is really most important part kiddies, didn't have a hand at voting me off the island. That person is Jimmie.

Jimmie, I've really enjoyed reading your entries. They were funny and well-written. I've gotten to know you more from this contest and I think you're a swell guy. I think I can honestly say that I've gained an e-friend from this.

Lynn, I'm sorry the vote isn't going your way. In the end though, I have to vote by who was more entertaining with their entries. Well, that and the fact that I may have been in Jimmie's place had you not cast the deciding vote against me that second week. You're still a cool chick though. :)

Congrats Jimmie. Here's hoping you take this thang.

So we have a tie.

Then I went to the voting and they are tied. 50/50. Christ. The judges are putting our heads together. Stay tuned.

What happens now? Do we go by previous votes? I'm heading off with the family for the rest of the day, so just in case there is revote...my vote stays with Jimmie. :)

That's what you get for having such a sucky tiebreaker. Suckysuckysucky. That tiebreaker sucked to the highest of suckstivity. It really and truly sucked.

Why don't you let Jim from SBD cast the vote, or at least write the next tie-breaker question? After all, the only thing he's done so far as co-host is piss off the contestents for saying they all suck because they wrote too damn much, which was a pretty sucky thing to say.

And any tiebreaker he proposes couldn't suck as much as the last one. I mean, that really really sucked.

Oh, and you spliced Lemur Girl's vote onto mine, which no doubt confused the hell out of some people and made them think, "Man, Victor's vote really sucks."

And that sucked.

What the hell is with Jeff? The guy barely participated for the short time he was involved. Now, when he gets one final chance to do something, he gives a one-line crap answer?

Hell, even the coconuts on the island participated in this thing more than he did.

Sure, this looks like sour grapes for his voting against me and to this I say: of course! If someone's going to vote against me, they ought to give more of an answer than I'd get from my freaking Magic 8 Ball. I have no confidence that he even bothered to follow the contest once he was voted off. But it's more than that. He's not participated more than a sentence or two in the contest at all. Letting him continue to participate diminishes all of us, not only Lynn and me. How can he have as weighty a vote as anyone here who did take this contest seriously?

We worked our asses off on these challenges. We posted links on our weblogs. We cajoled our friends and family to read what was going on and to vote. We certainly deserve more than a grunt and a semi-conscious point to one of the contestants as a "vote".

But if you can't bring yourself to disqualify Jeff, then perhaps you: pylorns and Jim, ought to be the final arbiter since you are the contest organizers.
